A Transfer Certificate is issued when a student leaves the school to join another institution. The process includes application, verification/clearance, and issuance as per applicable school rules and CBSE guidelines.
Process Flow
Apply
Submit a written application addressed to the Principal with student details and reason.
Verify
Clear dues and obtain departmental clearance (library, accounts, class teacher, etc.).
Issue
After verification, TC is prepared and handed over as per the stated timeline.
Step-by-Step Timeline
Step 1
Submit Application
Provide student name, admission no., class/section, reason for TC, and parent contact details.
Step 2
Clear Dues
Settle pending fees (if any) and return school property (books, ID card, etc.) as applicable.
Step 3
Department Clearances
- â–¸ Library: book return & clearance
- â–¸ Accounts: fee clearance
- â–¸ Class Teacher: academic records verification
Step 4
TC Issuance
Once all clearances are complete, TC is issued within 7–10 working days (typical timeline). Collection is from the school office during working hours with valid ID.
